CLOSING RITES
After your spell or ritual, be it a ritual of mediation, one of gratitude, one for insight, fortune telling, or just spell work, you must perform the closing rights.You basically do everything you already did in reverse.
FIRST: Thanks and farewell to the Goddess and the God.
SECOND: Thanks and farewell to the energies of the quarters, Center, North, West, South, then East.
THIRD: Take up the energy of your circle, walking around it clockwise if you're going to be casting in this space regularly, counterclockwise if you're in a spot you might not use regularly or often, and imagine pulling the circle energy back into your hand or tool.
FOURTH: Ground the energy by placing your palm or tool flat to the earth, the floor, a big stone you use, one of your tools, your altar itself, and sort of releasing the energy into it.
FINALLY: Be still for a bit, and get something to eat. A grain-based snack will ground you most quickly.
After casting a spell, don't discuss it. Let it go. Assume the result is already done. Keep it quiet, and don't discuss or think of it again.
