The word translated giant is the Hebrew word Nephilim, which has as its foundation the word 'fallen' so Nephilim may possibly be translated "The fallen ones". Who were the fallen ones of Scripture? Of course the fallen angels. Out of the ordinary clue is the commentary "Sons of God" hand-me-down in this verse.
