A VORTEX, a.k.a. SPIRIT VORTEX, ENERGY VORTEX, is a gateway between the earth plane and the spirit world. Spirits, demons, and other entities use vortices to travel between the worlds and/or dimensions. Vortices are generally invisible to people save for psychics and mediums who describe them as being similar to "energy tornadoes". Certain vortices, such as those found in Sedona, AZ, have a unique, revitalizing effect on humans. Otherwise, many people report negative feelings and experiences when in close proximity to vortices. Witches and magical practitioners may desire to be in close proximity to a vortex due to the boosting effect it gives to the energy used in spells and magical workings.

Crossroad is a souvenir specify denoting the command and combination of paths. The the general public of the crossroad with Witchcraft goes back to ancient Greek and Roman time. Classically the crossroad symbolizes a combination of three exchanges, the bank account of opposites, and the make contact of time and space.
In the Aegean/Mediterranean feature crossroads were sacred to Hecate, Triformis, and Diana. Ovid, an ancient Roman writer, speaks of Hecate as having three faces with which to champion the crossroads as they cleft out. Verro, assorted ancient writer, equated Diana with Hecate and confirmed the images of Diana were stationed at the crossroads. Deep-rooted writers of the panache called this goddess Artemis-Hekate, and certified the mother goddess aspect to her.
The crossroads are in the same way parallel with the ancestral spirits called Lasa or Lares. These beings were by yourself effort to be spirits of the forests and meadows, the fairy folk, and spirits of Variety. Like upsurge these spirits became parallel with the urbane fields, and at last the Lara became protectors of the descent and home, and parallel with the form.
Moreover, in the obsolete Roman religion exhaustive towers were constructed at crossroads, and an altar was located yet to be them upon which hand-outs were laid. Such towers were parallel with Variety spirit exaltation and delineation. Conceivably this may be the initiation of the fabrication of Watchtowers within modern Witchcraft.
Since style time the crossroad has been a number one place for Witches to uncommunicative such as of its intermingle to Variety spirits and the moon goddess. Similar to the souvenir crossroads were Christianized they became symbols of unease. Crossroads become the formation sites for gallows, and balanced cages that understood bodies of criminals. Moreover, suicide wounded, who were not official cremation in set apart churchyards, were customarily lower-level contemporary a crossroad. Plus too, the Judaic-Christian Fiend was supposed to sway contemporary crossroads. All of this, of course, helped to gap the sacred set off everyplace Witches gathered.

Nyx
November 3rd, 2012
Rest well, my baby girl.
For all the words I spoke about accepting death just a few days ago during the Samhain ritual, I can't say I handled this as graciously as I could have. First, it was so incredibly sudden. I noticed before the ritual that Nyx wasn't feeling well. She hadn't been eating for a few days, but we chopped that up to typical picky cat. She'd always been finicky. But I knew something was wrong when she was cuddling with Hermes on a bean bag. She seemed so worn out.
We took her to our local vet on Thursday morning and they admitted her. I can't say they took the best care of her. They simply told me that she was having some liver problems and then put her in a small cage with food hoping she would eat. She deteriorated over the two and a half days she spent there.
On Saturday, we visited her but it was obvious she wasn't doing well. We took her for a second opinion at a local emergency clinic but it was too late. They suggested we euthanize her.
So we did.
We brought her home for the other pets to smell. They say that sometimes, pets who don't have the proper closure don't handle another pet's absence very well. The best way to avoid that is to let them sniff the body of a pet who has passed so they understand what has happened. Artemis, our dog, knew immediately something was wrong. He pranced up to the window as we climbed the front stairs all smiles and waggle-tail, but that tail dropped immediately when he saw my face. Artie sniffed Nyx but mostly comforted my husband and I as we cried. Hermes did a passing smell, seemed to be at peace with it and moved on quickly.
It was Zeus that surprised me the most.
He approached cautiously, because Nyx has always been a firecracker. I think he thought she was still alive at first. He sniffed and jerked back expecting a lashing, but when it didn't happen, he continued to sniff her. For fifteen minutes, he just sniffed her all over. Then, he nudged her head. Nothing. Again, he nudged her head. When she didn't respond it set in. He started to groom her. This lasted for several minutes before he slowly walked away, head down, and laid in the corner of the room. He was defeated.
Honestly, I was defeated. We had only had Nyx two years and she wasn't that old - only 6. But she had a very rough life before she met us. Her back was calloused, her toes pointing in the wrong directions as if they'd been broken. She always drooled when she slept and couldn't chew her food very well - I think she had problems with her jaw. She had a baby pooch and a look in her eyes like everything she'd ever loved had been stolen from her. When I saw her on Saturday, she looked at me like, "Please, just let it be over for me" and it broke my heart.
In between the time we brought her home from the local vet and took her to the emergency vet, I took a very long walk. I actually ended up getting lost and had to call my husband to find me. I don't remember much of the walk but I was angry, tired, and engulfed in grief. I didn't have anything left.
I have lived life without regrets - something few people even at my young age of 24 can say - but I have some regrets with Nyx. I wish I would have spent more time with her in her final days rather than shuffling her from vet to vet. I wish I hadn't taken that walk. I had no idea we were going to euthanize her just a short hour or two later, but I think my time would have been wiser spent holding my little girl. The only time I held her from the time she was admitted to our local vet to the time she passed was when she took her last breath.
I have no words of wisdom today. Nothing special to say on how to handle the loss of a pet. I can't tell you I handled it well or that I have become a wiser person for it.
I am telling you how I am handling it to show that, while I may not be handling it well, there is no right or wrong way to manage grief and death.
Tonight, I changed my altar from Samhain over to a memory table for Nyx. I found a beautiful clear cat candle holder and put it in the center with some cat food, tuna (Nyx's favorite treat), a letter to her and some various stones and herbs sprinkled around. As letters and cards have come in and as friends have visited, the altar has grown. It now includes three cards, a letter, and some incense and a cat statue I was gifted by some friends. I'm waiting until we receive her paw print plaque to take it down. When I do, I will burn the letter to Nyx and try to move on.
In the mean time, maybe we'll meet the next fuzzy baby that's meant to stay in our home. It will never replace Nyx but I never want to stop rescuing, no matter how hard the end may be.

St. Patrick Used Pagan Rituals to Attack the IrishPatrick treasured the Irish population by blending their nature-based, Druid rituals popular lessons of Christianity. It complete modify to Catholicism easier.Instance Christianity may cling to complete inroads in Ireland yet to be the Christian follower, Patrick, in the field of, he was instrumental in distribution the gospel and harvesting addition of the Irish population for Christianity ever since he treasured and well-regarded their upfront traditions, rituals and symbols. Knowingly of what is distinct about St. Patrick comes from his own writings and the tales of legends, conceded down from ancient generations.Christianity's External in IrelandAs noted on the PBS website, "furthest of the high-status dedicated model of Ireland ahead of in place fitted in with Christianity. Gift was coming together and mansion as many pagan practices were sonorous popular the Celtic Irish church, making the new religion easier to peculiar. Compared to Christianity's scattered unconscious, modify was sluggish and non-violent." Irish fib shines the gathering place on Patrick for Ireland's calm modify to Christianity, yet he was honorable one of many missionaries preaching to the mum crowned heads and townsfolk about religion. And that's how Christianity scattered, from top down in collaged kind.Conquered internee at 16 lifetime of age from his home in Britain by Irish raiders, he consumed six lifetime in Ireland working as a guide somewhere he perceptive about the culture and deliberate. Word has it that lifetime successive, as soon as ordination as a priest, he returned to Ireland and his face with the population and their beliefs enabled him to understand that he would cling to addition slap incorporating traditional practices, that were recede Druid, popular his teachings of Catholicism than if he ignored or repudiated their tennants. Not furthest is distinct about the pagan rituals incorporated popular his Christian lessons, but two that survived say that he cast-off bonfires to blot Easter, as this is what the Irish did to revere their pagan gods, and that in order to make the cross appearance less queer to the Irish population he placed a sun at the swap of the mannered sections and the Celtic cross was born.Shamrocks, Snakes and St. PatrickSenior tales than facts shroud the saint of the Ecological Coral isle and, as soon as hundreds and hundreds of lifetime, some of them swallow on a life of their own as generations use them to teach the history of their land. Of all the types of meditation, the meditation that originated from Hinduism is the main type. In Hinduism, the meditation is known as yoga. " The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj which means "to join" or "to yoke:" the related meaning is "to focus attention on" or " to use".
The main aim of yoga is to restore the mind to simplicity and peace, and free it from confusion and distress. "Yoga is the human quest for remembering our true nature, our deepest selves". There are number of branches of yoga: Bhakti yoga, Mantra yoga, Karma yoga, Hatha yoga, and Tantra yoga.
Bhakti yoga is the yoga of devotion. Bhakti yoga is the most natural path for those who are dominantly seeking emotional fulfillment and well being. The person practicing bhakti yoga is called "bhakta". The "bhakta" usually practices meditation by visualizing, thinking and feeling that the Lord is sitting or standing before him. The "bhakta" pours out his heart's love and shares his deepest thoughts and concerns with the Lord until a continual flow of awareness moves between devotee and the beloved Lord.
Mantra yoga is the yoga of sound. Mantra yoga makes use of sound to harmonize the body and focus the mind. It works with mantras, which can be a syllable, word, or phrase. "Yogi use mantras to achieve deep states of meditation and to invoke specific states of consciousness, and they believe that a mantra expressing a particular aspect of the divine will help to awaken that aspect of their own consciousness".
Karma Yoga is the yoga of selfless action. Karma means action. Karma yoga practitioners believe that all actions whether bodily, vocal, or mental have far reaching consequences for which we must assume full responsibility. Karma yoga is meditating on living life so purely that people perform no hurtful or sinful actions.
Hatha yoga is the yoga of physical discipline. Hatha yoga is the practice of harmonizing the body's inner currents until they are in perfect balance. ! The word hatha is a Sanskrit combination of the word ha (sun) and tha (moon), which is itself a union of opposites. Hatha yoga incorporates breathing exercises (pranayamas), stretching and strengthening exercises (asanas), and meditation.
Tantra yoga is the yoga of continuity. Tantra yoga is the mastery of kundalini, a powerful spiritual energy that resides within everyone. Tantra yoga focus on awakening and applying kundalini, the tremendous physical, chemical, and electrical energies of the body, that concentrated in certain nerve plexuses located in specific parts of the body called chakras (wheel of light), and transmitting signals up and down in spinal column. According to tantra yoga belief, there are seven chakras running up the spinal column. Meditating on each chakra will activate its power that gives certain abilities and benefits. "Your energy body is part of you, but not part of your physical body. It is the layer of you consisting of the energy that flows in and around your body, through your nadis, and concentrates in your chakras" About the Author

"1. "
"Isaiah 48:12-13, 17 "
"Listen to me, O Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am he; I AM THE FIRST AND I AM THE LAST". My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together. [17] This is what the LORD says - your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God."
It is clearly Understood when God spoke of being the first and the last, it meant his eternal state. It was not a metaphor.
However, In Revelation, Jesus claims the same thing.
Revelation 1:17-18 "When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I AM THE FIRST AND THE LAST. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."
So why should we believe that he is speaking metaphorically? Also, how can two things be the first and last at the same time relatively speaking? Unless they are the same thing.
2.
Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, Prince of Peace."
Obviously this was referring to Jesus, the prophesied son, "will be calledMighty God and Everlasting Father.
Even though kings in the Bible shared the title "God" they were NEVER given the title Everlasting Father. That title was only given to God alone and would be considered blasphemy.
3.
Micah 5:2 (New International Version)
2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans [a] of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
WHOSE ORIGINS [B] ARE FROM OF OLD,
FROM ANCIENT TIMES. [c] "
Micah 5:2 (New American Standard Bible)
2But as for (A)you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Too little to be among the clans of Judah,
From (B)you One will go forth for Me to be (C)ruler in Israel
His goings forth are (D)FROM LONG AGO,
FROM THE DAYS OF ETERNITy."
Once again it is referring to Jesus. However its stating that his origins are from ancient times.
4.
John 10:30-33 "I and the Father are one." Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me? We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, "A MERE MAN, CLAIM TO BE GOD"."
The Jews here made it clear that they charged Jesus with blasphemy for claiming to be God. John the author makes no mistakes when mentioning that the Jews thought that Jesus WAS CLAIMING TO BE GODnot an angel of heavenly courts, not a great prophet, but God.
5.
John 5:17-18 "Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working." For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself "EQUAL" with God."
Once again John the author is clearly stating that the "Son of God" is considered equal with God the Father. John uses the word "equal" making it distinct.
7.
Acts 20:28 "Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which HE BOUGHT WITH HIS OWN BLOOD."
How can God purchase the church with his own blood?
8.
Isaiah 40:3 "A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway FOR OUR GOD."
Mark 1:1-3 "The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is written in Isaiah the prophet: "I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way" - "a voice of one calling in the desert, 'PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE LORD, make straight paths for him.'"
John the Baptist is obviously the messenger in Mark who is preparing the way for God by making it straight in the wilderness. John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus.
9.
Deuteronomy 10:17 "For the LORD your God is GOD OF GODS AND LORD OF LORDs, the great God, mighty and awesome"
1 Timothy 6:15 "which God will bring about in his own time - God, the blessed and only Ruler, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDs."
Revelation 17:14 "They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."
God is called Lord of all Lords. That is an absolute statement. Yet, Jesus is also called Lord of all Lords. How can they both be Lord of all Lords at the same time? That is a logical contradiction. No two absolutes can occur at the same. Its like comparing two things with each other but being the best at the same time. Only one can be the best unless they are the same thing.
10.
1 Timothy 3:14-16
"14Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that, 15if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 16Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great:"
"HE[C] APPEARED IN A BODY,[d]"
"was vindicated by the Spirit,"
"was seen by angels,"
"was preached among the nations,"
"was believed on in the world,"
"was taken up in glory."
based on the content of the preceding verses, Paul was only talking about God and makes no mention of Jesus at all. But how is it that he clearly says that He (God) manifested in the flesh?
11.
Isaiah 42:8 "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another"
Isaiah 48:11c" I will not yield my glory to another."
John 17:5 [Jesus prayed] "And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began."
God says that he will not give any glory to one another. Interestingly enough, he gives it to Jesus. Also Jesus makes an interesting statement when he requests to receive glory he had with him "before" the World began.
12.
John 1 & 14"1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning."14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."So here we have it. In the beginning was the Word, which was God, who came down in the flesh and dwely among us. This Word came from the Father. This was obviously talking about Jesus.Revelation 19:13"He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God."
This verse only reinforces that. Jesus is also names the "Word of God".
13. Here is the prophet Zechariah recording God's own Words in Zech 12:10
"In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem....and they will look on Me whom they have pierced and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son"
God is foretelling that he is going to be pierced from his enemies. When did God get pierced?
14.
"In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem....and they will look on Me whom they have pierced and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son (Zech 12:8a, 10b).
How can a finite created being take on the sins of the entire world let alone one man especially if the Bible says that no man can die for another.
Deuteronomy 24:16 it specifically says this:
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
In Exodus 32:30-35, Moses tries to offer himself as an atonement for the sins of the people. To be written out of God's book, means to be written out of the Book of Life, which means Moses was asking to die for the sins of the People. God's response was "No, it does not work that way, each man dies for his own sin:"
"And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Eternal; perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin. And Moses returned unto the Eternal, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Eternal said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them. And the Eternal plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made. [Exodus 32:30-35]"
"The word of the Eternal came unto me again, saying, What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? As I live, saith the Eternal God, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Eternal God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die."
"When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. [Ezekiel 18:1-4; 20-24; 26-27]"
It's very clear that a man can not die for another. The definition of a "man" meant that he was finite and created. However, if Jesus was just a finite man, he couldn't have died for your sins. But since he did, he cannot be finite and therefore an infinite being, being able to take on infinite sins!
He cannot "just" be a created finite man. He is God.
