This is a simple remedy, which can be tried by anyone if he or she is not getting a suitable job or employment; as per their capabilities and qualifications. This Indian paranormal remedy makes the use of Alum; Turti or Fitkari as it is commonly called in India. In many previous posts, I have highlighted the widespread use of Alum in traditional, herbal as well as paranormal remedies.
This post, I would like to add is in response to the requests of many readers of this site who wanted such a simple remedy. So now I will tell you about this remedy - On any Monday, take a medium sized piece of Alum and heat it on a Tawa [iron frying pan, used in India] and then when it cools down and becomes lukewarm, rotate it around you head 7 times in a clockwise manner.
Then after doing the above, throw this piece of Alum in a body of dirty water like a drainage or wash basin; you can even flush it down the commode. Kindly note that you must not chant any kind of Mantra or Prayer of any kind whatsoever while practicing this remedy.

Today types of meditation are recommended by many health care professionals as a way of cleansing the mind and emotions of negative thoughts. By meditating, you can benefit from improved concentration and memory. It also helps to help you develop a greater understanding of stressful situations in your daily life so that you can have a greater understanding of the real cause of the problem. Sixteenth Sunday after PentecostTwenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time Ezekiel 18:1-4, 25-32Philippians 2:1-13Matthew 21:23-32 The twentieth century political philosopher, John Rawls, summarily restated his most famous work, "A Theory of Justice", as "Justice as Fairness." Many who know little of his learned, complex argument may have heard of his "Original Position," the thought experiment that serves as creation myth for Rawls' social contract. Rawls asks his reader to imagine a meeting where all parties choose a common social structure from behind a "veil of ignorance." No one knows his/her/its origin, history, gender, ethnicity, class, religion, talents, abilities, or conception of the Good. This artifice, Rawls believes, forces participants to choose the basic rights and duties of citizens impartially, rationally, and fairly -- and Rawls confidently tells us what they will decide. Many of Rawls' subsequent conclusions are appealing, but his starting point strikes me as a progressive "just so" story. For Rawls, it seems, people emptied of nearly every personal quality will nevertheless share his late twentieth century bourgeois liberal values. This week's lectionary readings envision a radically different universe. Ezekiel learns just how distorted human conceptions of fairness are, and how Divine justice never stands in isolation from Divine mercy. God takes no joy in anyone's death, refuses to punish the many for the sins of the few, and is forever ready to pardon the sinner. Though Ezekiel hears God speaking in a new register, the message that God's justice and mercy come as a package isn't new. (See, for example, Psalm 85:10: "Mercy ("Chesed") and Truth ("Emet") are met. Righteousness ("Tsedeq") and Peace ("Shalom") have kissed.") It's an ongoing biblical theme, a conversation we can't be reminded of too often. The conversation is still going strong in first century Judea, where rabbis debate matters of authority and obedience (from "ob-audire", "to hear thoroughly") in this week's passage from Matthew. Some of the disturbing power of Jesus' parable is lost on those unfamiliar with ancient Mediterranean cultural expectations: sons must publicly honor their fathers at least as much in word as in action. The first son dishonored his father through his direct, verbal refusal, yet he ultimately does his father's will. The opposite, of course, is true of the second son, who is, as we say now, "all talk and no action." Then Jesus, good rabbi that he is, brings his parable back to the present moment's messy circumstances by telling his listeners, "...tax collectors and the prostitutes are going into the kingdom of God ahead of you." Replace "tax collectors and prostitutes" with whatever groups rouse your own thinly-disguised resentments (and if you're among the saints who harbor no resentments, pray for those of us who still do) and you'll feel God's mercy as the chief priests must have - less like an embrace than a slap in the face. And what more can be said of the much commented-upon "kenosis" hymn in Philippians 2? Perhaps just this: That God's justice is apprehended, if at all, not from behind a veil of ignorance but through vulnerable presence. The usual English-language renderings of verse 2:5, along the lines of "Let the same "mind" be in you that was in Christ Jesus," miss the fleshy, visceral connotations of the Greek root "phroneo". Modern Western Christians like me often interpret the passage as a mind game, an intellectual puzzle, a matter of getting the right ideas and attitudes in ones head. But that misreads Paul as a philosopher and not as a mystic. Paul truly wants his readers to feel the self-emptying presence of Christ in our guts. Paul asks us to be present to that Presence with our vulnerable and needy bodies and our soiled and lately repentant hearts at least to the degree we are present to Him with our scattered and desirous minds. There is no denial, then, of who we are, where we come from, or what accidents of history and fortune distinguish us from others. Nor are we asked to feign blindness when it comes to others, but rather to see everyone as wounded sinners like ourselves, who need only to change our stony hearts before we discover we're already forgiven. Make no mistake: if we do as we are asked, we shouldn't expect to be treated fairly or find the world suddenly transformed into a kinder, gentler place. Christ, Paul reminds us, was obedient even unto horrific death on a cross, embodying God's mercy to us while we were still sinners. Paul's not asking us merely to admire or even imitate Christ, but to let that mystery enter our every vulnerable part of our body and being, so we may both will and work for God's good pleasure. So we work out our salvation in fear and trembling, not because it's up to us to get things right, but because God's mercy and justice are most often encountered in great love and great suffering, channels of grace far more alike than we imagine. "Love Hurts" goes the hit song (sung by Nazareth, Roy Orbison, and others), something anyone who's gazed on the tortured, unveiled body of the crucified Christ already knows. But we're not to stop at merely knowing it. We, who call ourselves followers of Christ, are invited to enter into that painful and loving Mercy and to know it as the only true form of Justice.

Q: I want to work with more than one mantra at a time, because I want to work on several things at once. Is this a good thing to do?
A: For your first experiment with mantras, I recommend you work with only one mantra for a full forty-day discipline. After that, work with any combination that makes sense to you. Remember, mantras work with energy - both yours and what you bring in from the universe - so if you work on more than one thing, try to keep them at least in the same general area.
Q: I notice that in your books you say that after the age of 28, the endings of many mantras should be changed to Swaha from Namaha. I'm working with Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha and I am 35 years old. Do I need to change the ending?
A: Some Mantras do not, as a rule, change their endings. Here are mantras that do not change endings except for certain special circumstances:

Om Sri Dhanvantre NamahaQ: I sometimes say mantras silently when I am around other people. Is this OK?
A: Ultimately, saying mantras silently is the most powerful way to say them. The silent repetition stimulates the corresponding petals of the chakras so that energy is brought into the subtle body.
Q: I have heard the one must receive a mantra from a guru for it to work. Is this true?
A: Those who have unwrapped the power of a mantra through many repetitions achieve something called "Mantra Siddhi." This means that they have attained some measure of power and proficiency with the mantra. At this point, they may give a mantra to others "with power," meaning that the recipient will achieve results faster than doing it without having received it "with power." However, Sanskrit mantras are your spiritual birthright since they are directly linked to the chakras. They will work even if you read them from a book and begin practice.
The minimum number of repetitions to achieve Mantra Siddhi is generally recognized as 125,000.
Q: I want to do a mantra on behalf of another person. Is this OK?
A: Praying for another person is a good thing to do for anybody at any time. However, Sanskrit Mantra is not exactly prayer because in is proactive and specific, whereas prayer leaves the mechanism of an answer up to Divine authority. Therefore, I recommend that where possible you ask permission from a person to undertake mantra work on their behalf. If this is not possible, then start with a prayer that this energy be used for their highest good and begin. I also recommend that you begin with the declaration that while you are performing this mantra on someone's behalf (state their name) that you are by no means taking their karma.
Parents have an automatic right as well as responsibility to perform mantra work on behalf of their children.

There are some meditation retreats that cater to people who want a smooth entrance, i.e.: Shambhala where, to my surprise, during a Dathun (month long retreat), meditators were able to have sex (provided they first "confessed"), smoke (in designated areas) and eat meat. Not that there is anything wrong with that, when I took this retreat in Colorado a few years ago that was exactly what I needed, a gentle introduction.
One time I tried visiting the Transcendental Meditation place in New York City, but nobody would talk to me unless I paid an amount whose exactitude escapes my memory but that was north of 1000 dollars, not for me. Then I also tried other Buddhist traditions which titillated me with rituals and chants, and I liked them.I suppose however, that it gets to a point when one wants to get into "hard core meditation", into a serious, strong practice, and for that I have not found anything more effective than Vipassana.My latest post at Elephant goes over 15 reasons why I think Vipassana is the best meditation technique out there. After spending a decade on the phones counseling depressed, down, and suicidal people I have come to the conclusion that suicide (in some form) is a thought all men have pondered. From "I wish I wasn't here" to "everybody would be better off without me" to "I want the pain to end", all men have wanted dramatic relief at some time in their lives. Unfortunately, while more women attempt suicide, it's men who are more successful taking their own lives. It's the final step in the plan for destruction, set in motion by our enemy. All too often, the thoughts, circumstances, sadness or brain trauma that lead up to suicide, get suppressed momentarily, only to be resurfaced more effectively.
Hope gets lost. The decision of self-demolition ensues. Yet...There is hope, and there is life. It's just one call away. And, it comes with a promise. The key word to remember is "yet..."
The Bible, and the entire book of Lamentations, includes many true stories about being in distress. One Lament, in chapter 3 verses 19-20, provides context we can relate to: Feelings of affliction, aimless wandering, bitterness, and a downcast soul. But in verse 21, we find the key word to remember.
"YET, this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord"'s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." - Lamentations 3: 21-26"
Spend any time in the book of Psalms, and you will read songs that share a depressing soul only to follow with a surrendering "yet God"-type of acknowledgement. While we wrestle with thoughts of suicide, we have to remember "yet God."Yet God is with you. Yet God is able. Yet God wants to save you. Yet God promises to answer your call.
It's like picking up an emergency hotline to God. While the prophet Jonah was in the depth of the sea, inside a fish, he prayed a "yet God"prayer:
"I called out of my distress to the LORD, And He answered me I cried for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice." - Jonah 2:2"
Through the prophet Jeremiah, God promises to answer your "yet"call:
"(God said) Call to Me and I will answer you." - Jeremiah 33:3"
Better yet, God says he will save you when you call on him:
"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." - Acts 2:21"
Still, making that call may seem like an open-ended proposition.
AVOID TOXIC TRAPS
Men are often like Mono Lake, which looks great from a distance. But there's something unusual about this lake. It doesn't have any inflows of fresh water, or outflows to release excess. The result is toxic water. Like Mono Lake, men often look good on the outside, but inside there is poison because of a lack of fresh thoughts and excess toxic ones.
So, here are three steps to avoid being like Mono Lake, and being able to say "yet God."
* SEE THE BIG PICTURE.
"The single most important key to suicide intervention is escaping self-absorption". The enemy is heavily invested in isolating you to be alone with your thoughts, unable to see the forest through the trees. He wants to isolate you physically, relationally, emotionally and spiritually. Feeling disconnected from everything and everyone facilitates thoughts of suicide. But think about it, there's no such thing as a man who is self-absorbed and also connected to God and other people.
Being able to say "yet God"takes a "decision" to acknowledge the big picture, and escape self-absorption.
* TALK ABOUT THE TOXINS.
"You have to discover hope". But when you're in the pit, it's hard to see a way out -until someone hands you a ladder. Many times, the proverbial ladder is a conversation with someone, other than yourself, with no other agenda other than to help you and provide perspective on your situation. You need another voice of reason, perhaps from a friend, professional counselor, or the voice of God. Prayer is by far the best modality. Take your issues to God, and he promises to listen and answer.
But you have to be willing to talk dirty, in other words, be transparent. If talk about the toxins in your life, you will discover hope.
* ENJOY THE VIEW.
You can't see Mono Lake until you take action and get a good view. The next step to being able to say "yet God,"is to rearrange your lifestyle around hope. Create connections with hope-filled people and places. Go where "life"happens like church, Bible studies, and small group meetings.
Thoughts of suicide are not fatal or final. It only feels like that. Being able to say "yet God,"will help you avoid self-absorption, rediscover hope and rearrange your lifestyle. The result is nothing short of an amazing, awe-inspiring view of life.

From the moment we are born till the moment we die, things are constantly happening to us. A former pastor of mine used to say quite often; "Difficult circumstances will either make you bitter or make you better."
I have found this to be true in my own life and have seen it to be so in the lives of those around me. Bitterness is something we all have to struggle with. The word bitterness can mean " to fester", "to be sarcastic", "to be jealous", "to rankle", or "to be hard". We've all had times in our lives when things happened that made us have some of these feelings. Sometimes bitterness can be a secret sin. Someone does some kind of wrong to us...we get bitter....but we want to appear as good in the eyes of our friends so we try to not let this bitterness show. So it doesn't hurt the one we're mad at....it only hurts us. Isn't it ironic that in wanting to hurt someone else, we end up only hurting ourselves?
On the other hand, sometimes bitterness is extremely obvious. Let's say that a mother has lost a son to death and she blames God for all her sorrow. She may curse God and never set foot in a church again. It is very obvious to all who know her that she is a bitter person. There may be another mother down the street who has lost a child, too, but she has continued to be faithful to God and has used the compassion she has found through the death of her own child to become a comfort to other grieving parents. This latter mother has become better through her trial instead of bitter.
The only "good" definition of bitterness I found was "to show sorrow." In Zechariah 12:10 the Bible says, "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. This verse paints a picture of how we should feel when the grace of God has been applied to our lives and we realize that it was our sins that "pierced" the Son of God. Then we should be in "bitterness", or in other words, show sorrow for our sins.
Yes, I have found it so very easy in my own life to become bitter but it is so much more rewarding to take our problems, our disappointments, our losses, and our pressing cares to the One who can make all things right. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Or could it be the scent of grass and grain slowly toasting in the summer's heat, making you think of autumn fires and warm bread? Even in the midst of summer's reign we know autumn looms. It seems so unlikely, and yet July 31, come sundown, begins the first of the harvest festivals. Lughnasad (or Lammas, Luanys, Gwl Awst, or Goel Est) is traditionally known as the grain harvest, yet within we can also celebrate the first fruits: sparkling berries, luscious tomatoes, sweet squash, daylily buds, baby potatoes, and even early corn in some places. As the fruits of our Earth are harvested so too do I look back on what I have sown earlier in the year. What plans, sown at Ostara, are coming to fruition this season? Will your needs and wants be fed with this harvest, or will you need to work for another season, and find your dreams fulfilled at Mabon? Or will your gestation be longer, coming at the year's turning at Samhain? Regardless how long your growing season takes, don't give up on your dreams. The ones we are truly meant to realize often take the longest (as I remind myself every time I work on the novel that has now taken upwards of seven years to complete), but when they come to completion, we are that much more appreciative of what we have been given, of what we have accomplished. If you don't mind enquiring into this a little more for yourselves, talking over together, that all our senses never function, move, operate as a whole, holistically. If you observe yourself and watch your senses you will see that one or the other of the senses becomes dominant. One or the other of the senses takes a greater part in observation in our daily living, so there is always imbalance in our senses. Right? May we go on from there? "
" This word has recently been popularised from India. And people go to India and to Japan and other places in order to learn meditation, in order to practise meditation, in order to achieve some kind of result through meditation - enlightenment, better understanding of themselves, have peace of mind, whatever that may mean, and generally they have a little peace, but not a peaceful mind. And the gurus have invented their own type of meditation and so on and on and on. Right? I am sure you are aware of all this.
And of course there is the passing fad which is called transcendental meditation. It is really a form of siesta in the morning, siesta after lunch, siesta after dinner or before dinner, so that your mind kind of becomes quiet and you can do more mischief afterwards. (Laughter).
So consider all this, the various types and practices and systems, and question them. It is good to have doubt, it is good to be sceptical up to a certain point. It is like a dog on the leash, you must let the dog go occasionally, run freely: so doubt, scepticism must be kept on a leash all the time but often it must be allowed to run free. And most of us accept the authority of those who say, 'We know how to meditate, we will tell you all about it'.
So please, we are together examining the whole problem, or the whole question of what is meditation, not how to meditate, for then if you ask how am I to meditate, then you will find a system to meditate; the 'how' implies a method. But whereas if you are enquiring into this question of what is meditation, and why should one meditate, then we will never ask how to meditate. The very questioning, the very asking is the beginning of enquiry which is the beginning of meditation.
As we said, this is a very complex problem and we have to go very slowly and hesitantly but subtly into this question. As we said during the last week, we are investigating, we are enquiring into it so that you are not listening to the speaker, you are asking the question to yourself and finding the right answer without accepting any kind of authority, specially the authority of the speaker sitting on this unfortunate platform. It doesn't give him any authority because he sits on a platform and talks. There is no authority in so-called spiritual matters if I can use that word 'spiritual', in the matter of the spirit, in the matter of enquiring into something that demands very, very, very careful examination. So we are doing this together, not meditating together but enquiring what is meditation and from that discover for oneself as we go along the whole movement of meditation. Is this all right?
First I think one must be careful in observing that meditation is not something that you do. Meditation is something entirely, a movement into the whole question of our living. That is the first thing: how we live, how we behave, whether we have fears, anxieties, sorrows, or if we are pursuing everlastingly pleasure, whether we have built images about ourselves and about others. That is part of our life and in the understanding of that life and of those various issues involved in life and being free from those, actually being free, then we can proceed to enquire into what is meditation. That is why we have, for the last ten days or the last week, we have said we must put order in our house - our house is ourselves - complete order. Then when that order is established not according to a pattern, but when there is understanding, complete understanding of what is disorder, what is confusion, why we are in contradiction in ourselves, why there is this constant struggle between the opposites and so on, which we have been talking about for the last ten days or last week. Having put that in order, our life in order, and the very placing things in their proper place is the beginning of meditation. Right? If we have not done that, actually, not theoretically, but in daily life, every moment of our life, then if you have not done that then meditation becomes merely another form of illusion, another form of prayer, another form of wanting something - money, position, refrigerator and so on "
ABOUT J KRISHNAMURTI :
J Krishnamurti is a religious philosopher, author and educator who has written and given lectures on these subjects for many years. He has founded elementary and secondary schools in the United States, England and India. JKrishnamurti is regarded globally as one of the greatest thinkers and religious teachers of all time. He did not expound any philosophy or religion, but rather talked of the things that concern all of us in our everyday lives, of the problems of living in modern society with its violence and corruption, of the individual's search for security and happiness, and the need for mankind to free itself from inner burdens of fear, anger, hurt, and sorrow. He explained with great precision the subtle workings of the human mind, and pointed to the need for bringing to our daily life a deeply meditative and spiritual quality.
He constantly stressed the need for a revolution in the psyche of every human being and emphasized that such revolution cannot be brought about by any external entity, be it religious, political, or social.
He claimed allegiance to no nationality, caste, religion, or philosophy, and spent the rest of his life traveling the world, speaking to large and small groups and individuals. He authored many books, among them The First and Last Freedom, The Only Revolution, and Krishnamurti's Notebook. Many of his talks and discussions have been published. His last public talk was in Madras, India, in January 1986, a month before his death at his home in Ojai, California.
