About The Wiccan God And Goddess
Since Wicca is primarily a religion, it has its own gods. Due to the nature of representations of the gods by the Wiccans, Wicca cannot be called 100% a monotheistic or polytheistic religion.

On the one hand, Wiccans believe that the whole world ruled by one divine power - this corresponds to the monotheistic religions.

On the other hand, Wiccans see the manifestation of divine power in the two images - the God and Goddess. And this is characteristic of polytheistic religions.

It is believed that the gods of Wicca are so ancient, that they have already lost their names. Usually they are referred to simply as God and Goddess. In this case, the Wiccans are of the opinion that all the gods and goddesses who ever been worshiped by humanity are nothing more than a manifestation of the very Nameless deities. Thus many witches in their rituals often turn to various pagan gods (most importantly is to do it wisely, and do not ask, for example, the Fire God to send life-giving rain). In our tradition we call the divine manifestations as the Horned God of the Sun and the Triple Goddess of the Moon.

HORNED GOD OF THE SUN

The main male deity of Wicca - The Horned God. No, god of witchcraft is not a devil. It is also called goat-footed, and is often depicted with goat horns and hooves, but the most ancient is the image of God with deer horns. Silver Ravenvolf in his book "The young witch" refers to him as Master.

God takes care of the animals. His appearance with a head crowned with horns symbolize his connection with the wild beasts.

God's patrimony are the untouched by human hand woods, hot deserts and mountains rising to the heavens. Stars that are like a distant lights, are also considered as a sphere of his patronage.
