I came across this story on the internet http://www.egovmonitor.com/node/53355 The basis for the story is that UK has put a plan in place to handle cases where children have been ritually abused. Most of these cases revolve around the child being accused of having some type of spirit possession.

While the ritual abuse I survived was different from what these children survived. The impact of the trauma caused is the same. In my case the ritual was the basis for the abuse, not because it was thought I had some kind of spiritual possession. They rituals were a way for those adults involved to gain some type of power. They consistently put what they called "spells" on people. They performed similar rituals at each "meeting." Most of the abuse was done in the cloak of darkness but some was out front in center when it came to Ruth. She derived pleasure from feeling that she was scaring people. When I started talking about what I survived in my early thirties and would share my story people who lived in the neighborhood where I grew up. They would say that they were afraid of Ruth. That she had threatened them with spells and that they didn't doubt my story because it wasn't far off from how Ruth acted most of the time.
To see ritual child abuse being taken seriously is very profound for me. Twenty years ago nothing would have been done about this. There were too many people out their "debunking" the existence of ritual abuse. These children wouldn't have been believed. The fact that they are is something that will help many other children. An action plan to cut through the "wall of silence" around ritual child abuse and neglect in the name of witchcraft, spirit possession, the supernatural and faith has been published today.
The National action plan to tackle child abuse linked to faith or belief aims to raise awareness of these appalling crimes and sets out urgent practical steps to build intelligence on the ground to identify children at risk and act to protect them.
Drawn up with faith leaders, charities, the Metropolitan Police, and statutory partners, it says that there needs to be closer engagement with local communities and churches to prevent abuse.
It proposes stronger training and information for social workers, police and other frontline practitioners working with children; and better access to psychological and therapeutic support for victims.
And it sets out work to secure prosecutions by improving support for victims to give evidence in court cases and better awareness of how faith-based abuse links to related crimes, including trafficking, missing children and sexual exploitation or grooming.
Ministers are concerned that while there has been progress in recent years, abuse linked to faith or belief is still misunderstood, hidden and going unreported.
Existing evidence suggests known cases are in the low tens a year but there are few official statistics, limited research and major gaps in understanding its scale or motivations.
Cases of adults inflicting physical violence or emotional harm on children they regard as witches or possessed by evil spirits are known across the world, almost wholly involving tiny minorities or sub-sects within major religions, as well as pagan faiths.
But evidence suggests that underlying causes are often very similar to other forms of child abuse - with the child being treated as a scapegoat for family stress, domestic violence, substance abuse and mental health problems.

Kristy, who lived in France, was accused by Bikubi of practising 'kindoki' or witchcraft and casting spells, during a visit over Christmas. He suffered appalling abuse and torture for three days before drowning in a bath.
Child abuse is appalling and unacceptable wherever it occurs and in whatever form it takes. Abuse linked to faith or belief in spirits, witchcraft or possession is a horrific crime, condemned by people of all cultures, communities and faiths - but there has been a 'wall of silence' around its scale and extent. It is not our job to challenge people's beliefs but it is our job to protect children. There can never be a blind eye turned to violence or emotional abuse or even the smallest risk that that religious beliefs will lead to young people being harmed.
The number of recorded cases nationally remains tiny but we know that historically, it goes unreported. Perpetrators go to huge lengths to cover up their abuse and the motivations are complex - often connected with mental illness and other complicated underlying reasons. It's clear we need to make a stand. There has been only very gradual progress in understanding the issues over the last few years - either because community leaders have been reluctant to challenge beliefs which risk leading to real abuse in their midst; or because authorities misunderstand the causes or are cowed by political correctness.
There are no easy solutions or silver bullets to solving this - this will require hard work building intelligence on the ground so social workers, carers and police can step in early to protect children at risk and bring perpetrators to justice. This plan will help people recognise and know how to act on evidence, concerns and signs that a child's health and safety is being threatened. Everyone working with children has a responsibility to recognise and know how to act on evidence that a children is being abused.

VCF welcomes government efforts to recognise and address child abuse linked to faith or belief. By bringing the issue into the open, and working with our statutory partners, the relevant communities and the voluntary sector, we can better protect and support members of our communities when they seek to highlight their concerns. Child abuse linked to faith or beliefs such as witchcraft must not be tolerated under any circumstances. Hopefully this action plan, which we helped develop, will give professionals the training they need to identify such cases at an early stage and move swiftly to protect the young victims.
The vast majority of people in communities where witchcraft is practised are horrified by these acts and take no part in this atrocious behaviour. So we must not be afraid to raise this issue so the offenders can be exposed. And, most importantly, everyone must play their part by watching out for unusual activity and reporting it as early as possible. We must never forget this is about child cruelty not culture and we cannot afford to wait until another child is murdered before decisive action is taken.

Josephying On The Feast Of St Joseph The Worker

Our local Church is named after Saint Joseph the Worker and my middle name chosen by my Catholic parents is Joseph. My recording studio in the basement is St Joseph Studios. So that's a lot of "Josephying."
He is to be honored on this day because of the way in which he faithfully obeyed the Lord and cared for the two most important people in salvation history, Jesus and his human mother, Mary. Did Joseph feel the weight of the world on his shoulders as he worked in his carpenter shop hoping to make enough money to support his young wife and child. Did he fully understand the words of the angel who visited him to reassure him of his role? Or Simeon's prophetic words in the temple on his presentation? I suspect he did and because of his obedience to God and care of the Lord and His Mum, he has a special role as intercessor and patron of the Church and families. Today I asked him to intercede for my family in a special way, that we would experience more of God's love and grace in our lives.

If I were to ask you who or what "completes" you, what would you say? Would you say your job completes you? How about your spouse or children, do they complete you? It is your ministry service that makes you whole? Where is Jesus Christ on your list of things or people that complete who you are?
Have you lost your focus on Christ and begun to look at temporary situations and people as all there is? In our culture where people and things are idolized, there is a grave danger for the Christian of being lured away by worldly philosophies, as it causes us to refocus on temporal things and to lose our desire and vision for God. It has become easy to replace God in practice. "
A former Pastor of mine said, "Once we lose our vision for God, who He is, what He has done through His Son Jesus Christ, we get a vision for something else. God is put on the shelf, an abstraction. Christ's work on the Cross becomes a footnote in history that has application when I die but is irrelevant now."

Ritualurile sunt foarte importante in Satanism. Orice ritual este important indiferent de dificultatea sa sau rezultatele obtinute. In Satanism, chiar si o simpla rugaciune este importanta. Prin aceasta mica si simpla rugaciune Satanistii isi pot arata respectul si recunostinta pentru Satan, ii pot multumi, pot cere indrumare, pot cere ajutor, pot cere protectie, etc. Ritualul este foarte necesar in relatia pe care Satanistul o are cu Satan.Satanismul se practica. Iar aceasta practica nu este intotdeauna usoara. Astfel a aparut Satanismul Modern sau Laveyan, cu intentia de a usura munca Satanistului si lasand la o parte personajul principal: Satan. In acest mod, partea spirituala nu mai era necesara si astfel, cum oamenii au tendinta de a accepta un simplu fals usor de inteles (in schimbul unui adevar complex, greu de inteles) Satanismul modern a fost acceptat de marea masa de oameni care aveau sa devina, dupa o lectura placuta, Satanisti.
Satanistul Modern nu crede in Satan, iar atat timp ca nu crezi in El este evident ca nici El nu se va obosi sa ti se prezinte, chiar si in cazul in care acesta este doar o forma rezultata din imaginatie. In alte cazuri, Ritualul de Initiere reprezinta intentia individului de a alege un nou drum spiritual. Parasind trecutul, religia anterioara, zeul precedent si propriul sine. Acest ritual este pura blasfemie fata de sinele anterior si zeul anterior. Ritualul de Initiere este o poarta prin care adeptul paseste spre un nou drum, fie simbolic sau religios. In Demonolatrie, initierea este un ritual de primire a unui nou membru in Secta sau in Demonolatrie, in timp ce Botezul reprezinta inceputul vietii ca Demonolatru.
Ritualul de Dedicare in schimb consta, in cazul Satanistului, in intentia sa de a-si dedica sufletul si viata pentru Satan. Reprezinta trecerea la un "nou sine" si inceputul vietii ca si Satanist.
Demonolatria, pe care o putem considera o ramura a Satanismului, este foarte asemanatoare in practica. Practica Demonolatriei poate fi impartita in doua categorii. Una este practica religioasa si alta este practica magica. Practica religioasa este categoria din care fac parte rugaciunile, ceremoniile si sarbatorile. Demonolatrii religiosi utilizeaza rugaciuni pentru imputernicire, devotement, comunicare cu divinitatea, spovedit sau multumiri. Contrara formei Crestine de rugaciune, rugaciunea Demonolatra nu consta in cerinte pentru mila sau orice alte cerinte. Pentru Demonolatru (ca si pentru Satanist), Divinitatea nu este aici pentru a ne oferi lucruri, ci pentru a nu ajuta sa devenim destul de puternici si intelepti ca sa luam singuri ceea ce avem nevoie. Acestia cer indrumarea entitatilor divine numite Demoni.
Riturile religioase si sarbatorile pot fi cele dedicate Demonului din secta, Matronului/Patronului sau casatorii, divorturi, inmormantari, botezuri si altele.
Altii au decis sa adauge practicii lor operatiuni magice pentru a-i ajuta in munca spirituala. Desi magia este uneori incorporate in Demonolatrie, nu este neaparat o parte din ea. Demonolatria este o religie flexibila. Nu este neobisnuit daca un practicant al Demonolatriei decide sa adauge anumite practice din diferite sisteme de credinta in munca lor. Demonolatria sustine experimentarea. Asta inseamna ca orice functioneaza este bun. Magia este pur si simplu o unealta pentru aceia care doresc sa isi condimenteze vietile cu mai mult decat simple rugaciuni si devotement. Dupa cum vad, este pentru cei care au depasit perioada de a cere ajutorul Demonilor.
Am decis sa nu vorbesc prea mult de practica Demonolatriei in acest articol, dar mai exista cateva puncte pe care vreau sa le ating aici inainte de a inchide acest subiect.
In magia demonica se obisnuieste ca un cerc sa fie construit in spatiul ritualului. Spre deosebire de ritualurile traditionale ale magiei ceremoniale, unde cercurile sunt facute pentru protectie, cercul in Demonolatrie este facut pentru a mentine si a echilibra energiile in ritual. Acesta se va concentra si va continua ritualul. In timp acesti factori interni si externi nu vor mai fi o problema. Totul se invata in timp. Dar este nevoie ca practicantul sa isi uite acele emotii si sa fie sigur si prompt in ceea ce face.
Dupa un ritual se pot astepta:
