Aquellos que han tenido el privilegio de verlos, cuentan que su estatura es menor a la de los humanos, por lo que se les dio el nombre de Gente Peque~na, sin embargo, su apariencia puede ser muy variada, los hay regordetes y narizones, as'i como muy esbeltos o dotados con alas; su aspecto f'isico est'a relacionado con el lugar en el que habitan principalmente ya que ellos son los guardianes y protectores de los 'arboles, flores, r'ios, lagos, manantiales, grutas, monta~nas y bosques.

Aunque no son inmortales, viven much'isimo m'as tiempo que cualquier persona, protegiendo as'i los espacios naturales y preservando la magia de la Madre Naturaleza. Poseen la capacidad de ver el futuro, curar a las personas, crear ilusiones, inspirar creaciones art'isticas y hacerse invisibles o visibles a los ojos humanos. Igual que nosotros, las Hadas tienen distintos temperamentos y personalidades, por lo que no todos los habitantes del Sidhe son igualmente simp'aticos; sin embargo, adquirieron con el tiempo el nombre de Buenas personas o Buenos vecinos por su capacidad de ayudar a otros y conceder deseos.

BRUJAS Y HADAS

La tradici'on de los Celtas no se ha perdido del todo, sigue viva en los practicantes de Wicca o brujos y brujas modernos quienes buscamos recuperar la tradici'on y ense~nanzas que legaron los Celtas al mundo entero. Wicca es por lo tanto, un camino espiritual basado en el respeto, amor y reverencia a la naturaleza; es una senda escogida que seguimos mujeres y hombres deseosos de reencontrarnos con nuestros or'igenes y escuchar las ense~nanzas de la Madre Naturaleza.

Las brujas modernas, sabemos que el mundo entero est'a lleno de magia, s'olo que al ir creciendo, nos olvidamos de ella, la escondemos tras una m'ascara de racionalidad y comenzamos a creer que todo pasa por casualidad, que los cuentos de hadas son solo una diversi'on para los ni~nos y que la magia no existe. Llegamos a convencernos de que la imaginaci'on no es algo real y comenzamos a vivir en un mundo en el que todo debe ser comprobable; sin embargo, sabemos que el amor o el dolor no se pueden ver, pero existen y afirmar que no se ama en verdad o que no sentimos dolor por que no se pueden comprobar es algo que a cualquiera le parecer'ia absurdo. De la misma manera, considero que no se puede afirmar que las Hadas no existen porque no las hayamos visto nunca, ya que, cualquier ni~no podr'a asegurarnos que son reales en la imaginaci'on y para m'i, esto es tan v'alido como decir que el amor est'a en el coraz'on.

Es por esto, que las brujas y brujos Wicca creemos tanto en las hadas como en la magia de la naturaleza. Sabemos que estar en contacto con ellas nos acerca m'as a nosotros mismos, nos volvemos flexibles, creativos y espont'aneos, pudiendo comenzar a creer en lo invisible y aceptando aquello que para otros es imposible.

CONTACTANDO CON LAS HADAS

Una de las ramas de la tradici'on Wicca es la Celta-Faery (Wicca de las Hadas Celtas) en ella, brujas y brujos modernos buscamos llenar nuestras vidas de magia al acercarnos a la naturaleza, contactar con los seres elementales y redescubrir el reino de las Hadas. Practicamos la magia natural, hacemos celebraciones rituales durante los cambios estacionales y en los momentos de la cosecha para reverenciar a los Dioses, comunicarnos con los esp'iritus de la naturaleza y sentir la energ'ia de los ciclos de la tierra en nuestro interior. Tambi'en realizamos rituales para cada uno de los elementos, visitando lugares sagrados como lagos, grutas, manantiales, etc. para invitar a los seres elementales y a las hadas a que se acerquen a nosotros. Festejamos a la luna nueva, a la que le damos el nombre de Luna Sidhe como el momento en que el velo entre los mundos es m'as tenue y para contactar con el reino de las Hadas. Como el Sidhe es un plano intermedio, nos valemos de momentos y lugares especiales para contactar con los esp'iritus de la naturaleza como a las 12:00 de la noche o en el amanecer, ya que son horas m'agicas en que los diferentes planos de conciencia se acercan; del mismo modo, existen zonas intermedias o m'agicas como los puentes, la entrada a una gruta o la orilla de un r'io, excelentes para contactar con el reino de las hadas.

Podemos valernos de algunas herramientas como los cuentos y leyendas, utilizar la imaginaci'on, entrar en trance o meditaci'on, escuchar cierto tipo de m'usica, leer o escribir poes'ia, pintar y sobre todo disfrutar de la naturaleza misma. Las brujas y brujos Celta Faery salimos a caminar por el bosque, observamos el cielo, contemplamos la luna, escuchamos a los 'arboles, disfrutamos del aroma de las flores, contamos las estrellas, nos dejamos cautivar por el mar y so~namos despiertos mirando las nubes; es decir, para nosotros la mejor forma para contactar con el reino de las Hadas es ver el mundo ordinario de manera extraordinaria, encontrando la magia en cada detalle a nuestro alrededor.
