Petrus Romanus, (aka Pope Francis), is certainly making a name for himself as he panders to the atheists and agnostics, declaring that they will indeed go to heaven if they simply follow their consciences and behave morally. Way to go there Mr. Pope....throwing yet another biblical doctrine out the window in your haste to appeal to the world. Does this man not read his bible? We know the Catholic bible is somewhat different that the bible we evangelicals use, but the Catholic bible stills says the following:
"JESUS REPLIED, "VERY TRULY I TELL YOU, NO ONE CAN SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD UNLESS THEY ARE BORN AGAIN." JOHN 3:3 NIV "
And what does that mean? Simple. Believe on Jesus Christ as the risen son of the living God and ask for forgiveness of sins. It does not mean "live morally and follow your conscience" and your on your way to heaven. Unless of course your intention is to toss aside all biblical doctrines and invent your very own form of "Christianity", (aka as the Mormons have). The bible warms of this very type of activity that would become prevalent in the last days.

POPE FRANCIS ASSURES ATHEISTS: YOU DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE IN GOD TO GO TO HEAVEN
"IN COMMENTS LIKELY TO ENHANCE HIS PROGRESSIVE REPUTATION, POPE FRANCIS HAS WRITTEN A LONG, OPEN LETTER TO THE FOUNDER OF LA REPUBBLICANEWSPAPER, EUGENIO SCALFARI, STATING THAT NON-BELIEVERS WOULD BE FORGIVEN BY GOD IF THEY FOLLOWED THEIR CONSCIENCES. Responding to a list of questions published in the paper by Mr Scalfari, who is not a Roman Catholic, Francis wrote: "You ask me if the God of the Christians forgives those who don't believe and who don't seek the faith. I start by saying - and this is the fundamental thing - that God's mercy has no limits if you go to him with a sincere and contrite heart. POPE FRANCIS REACHES OUT TO ATHEISTS AND AGNOSTICS
