Since the first human to ever walk the earth, we have been decorating ourselves with various items which we believed to be an effective material to ward off negative forces. These materials may be made from bones, Metals, crystals or all of these items combined to create an amulet. As popularly known, amulets are supposed to have magical capabilities to drive away evil entities and/or attract good luck. However, this belief is only true in isolated societies which do not know any better.
Apart from the usual beliefs that these amulets have, the world of fashion has taken a bold interest in these ancient tribal accessories and have included these items in their fashion collection. Little did we know that, since ancient history, people have already been accessorizing their bodies, however the accessories that they have adorned themselves bears a special meaning or have certain magical qualities. In recent years, these fascinating items have been slowly introduced in the modern world and have gained acceptance from the general population as a fashion accessory.
In today's fashion scene, it is very common to see that models have already adorn themselves with items that have traditional values and considered to be an amulet in the ancient days. But how do these fashion companies get a hold of these amulets since these are price tribal possessions? Well, in the first place, these amulets are handcrafted materials, crafted by the skillful members of the tribe. For this fashion company's, acquiring only one of these amulets is enough, they will then have this amulet copied by a certain manufacturer specializing in ancient artifacts and has it produced in bulk or has some alterations on the designs to make it unique from the original.
Consequently, as fashion continues to invade the sanctity of these ancient artifacts, the popularity of these amulets and what they are known for will ultimately disappear and it will only be a thing of the past. The value that these magnificent objects have, will gradually diminish and they will just be accessories, just an item of bodily adornment, losing its meaning, purpose and importance.
It's sad to say that, although these amulets are made for a greater purpose, fashion has seen something else that would benefit not only them, but the general population as well, but consequently disregarding and disrespecting the sense of value that these items have on the tribes which they originally come from. Fortunately, other people have a sense of preservation that's why they collect amulets to remind them that such tribe exist and that the amulet that he or she has is a proof that the tribe exist in some part of the history.
